Long-distance discount
Student fare usually gives 30% off single tickets and multi-tickets for long-distance traffic. Night train cabins are not included in the discount.
Commuter discount
In VR commuter traffic, the student discount is usually 50% on single tickets and multi-tickets.
Proof is required
Carry the accepted student document with you. It can be checked during ticket inspection.
Use the right fare group
When searching, choose Student instead of Adult so the ticket search can request the correct fare group.
